GREY’S TR KNIGHT MARRIES

Former Grey’s Anatomy star TR Knight has married his boyfriend of three years, known only as Patrick.

According to Us Weekly, the 40-year-old star, who found fame playing the character of Dr. George O’Malley, tied the knot on Friday last week at an intimate ceremony with family and friends.

Two of the celebrities who attended the upstate New York function were former co-stars Katherine Heigl and Kate Walsh.

Knight has previously been romantically linked to openly gay actor Luke MacFarlane, best known for his role as Scotty in Brothers & Sisters.

Knight came out in 2007 after a high profile on-set incident in which fellow Grey’s Anatomy actor Isaiah Washington insulted him with a homophobic slur.

Despite Washington being fired over the attack, Knight soon after also left the show, citing a “breakdown in communication” with the show’s creator Shonda Rhimes.

Knight has been starring as Mercutio in an off-Broadway production of William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet in New York City.
