The 24th edition of Broadway Bares saw a host of gorgeous male (and female) Broadway dancers stripping off for a burlesque fundraising extravaganza, titled Rock Hard.
On Sunday, the buff dancers performed to a crowd of more than 5,000 people in New York City, honouring iconic rock music moments and songs from Elvis to Pink, Aerosmith to Prince.
Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell, who created Broadway Bares, reminded the audience: “Safe sex is hot sex. We can best love each other by always remembering to protect each other. Then what we do together will indeed make a difference.”
The show – which featured plenty of homoerotic numbers, actor James Franco and amputee underwear model Alex Minsky – raised $1,386,105 to benefit the organisations Broadway Cares and Equity Fights AIDS.
