Adam Lambert: I’ve slept with closeted Hollywood actors

Adam Lambert has revealed that he’s slept with a number of closeted gay male Hollywood stars.

The Grammy-nominated singer, who came out in 2009 after first finding fame as an American Idol contestant, opened up about his sex life in an interview with Glamour magazine.

When asked if there are a lot of gay actors who are still in the closet in Hollywood, he replied, “Oh yeah,” although he didn’t offer any names. [Damn! – Ed]

He went on to say: “I’ve been with a few of them. Whether it’s music or acting, you’ve got to remember that those industries are primarily run by men, so maybe it’s about that.

“But with women being the primary moviegoers and record-buyers, surely it shouldn’t matter so much?” he asked.

Lambert, 33, also confirmed that he had slept with women in the past – and quite enjoyed it.

“I did it for the first time when I was 29. It was kind of a random thing, but I was very curious…” he said.

“It felt great. It was a friend of mine and there was tequila involved and a full moon and then suddenly… [Gives a wonderfully dirty chuckle].”

On the subject of raising children, he said that he would definitely consider it, “If the time was right and I had enough down time,” and if he meets “the right person.” He added that he’d prefer surrogacy with a lesbian woman because he wouldn’t want to be a single parent. “I also think surrogacy is a beautiful thing – very next level.”

In 2012, Lambert made music history by becoming the first openly-gay artist to reach the No. 1 spot on America’s Billboard album chart with Trespassing, his second album.

His upcoming third album, The Original High, is set to be released in June.
