sexiest_man_pics_2015_bohang
Soweto-born Bohang is best known for his role as Victor Ndou on the Mzansi Magic soapie Zabalaza – but there’s much more to him. After school, the buff hottie studied Quantity Surveying at the University of Free State, graduating with an Honours degree in 2011. He trained as an actor at the OCA Acting Studio and appeared in a few low-budget indie films. In 2013, he was a Top 12 Finalist for Mr South Africa. After two years in Durban, he decided to leave his job and relocated back to Joburg to pursue his passion and dream of being an actor. We’re happy to report that he’s well on his way to stardom…

Eighteen-year-old Brendan Peyper is the newest upcoming star in the SA music industry. A farm boy from the Free State who only completed his matric in 2014, he’s a keen rugby player who started studying sound engineering. But, it’s his love of music that led him to put togs and text books to one side and chase his dream of becoming a professional singer. His first Afrikaans single, Stop, wag, bly nog ’n bietjie, is an energetic mix of pop and rock sounds, but with a strong acoustic undertone. As long he keeps his muscled boy-next-door melt-your-heart looks on display we look forward to seeing (and hearing) Brendan for many more years.

sexiest_man_pics_2015_kyle
A man of many talents, Kyle was born and raised in Durban. He started his music career by learning guitar at school and performing at cafés and restaurants before entering Idols SA in 2012 (finishing in the top 20). But it was re-entering in the 10th season and coming in fifth place that really kicked off his music career. Kyle’s since been featured on the Cassper Nyovest track Alive and his recent single, Back to the Beach, along with Shekhinah, has to be one of the hottest local tracks we’ve heard this year. And that’s not all: Kyle is also a Doctor of Chiropractics, a key player for the national beach soccer team and a model. Impressive, in so many ways!

Spotted by his twin sister’s modelling agent, he was soon on a plane to Milan after completing matric to explode onto the international modelling scene. Mostly based in Hamburg, he lives between Cape Town, Germany and the USA. He also runs a clothing label, dreams of becoming a rock star (he plays the ukulele) and is a major Disney fan (sporting a tattoo of Thumper on his thigh). Leon was a finalist in the recent Presenter Search on 3 contest and says he’s still aiming to make a splash on the small and big screens. “I’m not gay myself but I think being gay might be a little like growing up in Polokwane and not fitting in… but it does get better,” he told us.

sexiest_man_pics_2015_maps
Maps (son of soccer legend Marks Maponyane) is not just a handsome face and buff body. He’s a serious overachiever – model, television presenter, commentator, actor, voice over artist and business entrepreneur – who rose to fame when he was named Cosmopolitan magazine’s Sexiest Man. He also starred as TK in the second season of the Mzansi Magic series Rockville and has presented sports and lifestyle TV shows in South Africa and abroad. In 2014 he was a co-presenter of the SABC3 reality competition series Win a Home and went on to release his first feature film Tell Me Sweet Something, a South African romantic comedy. Oozing style and charm, this stunner has definitely found “the map” to success.

10. Nakhane Touré – Singer and author
sexiest_man_pics_2015_Nakhane
This openly gay South African is setting the music and literary worlds on fire. After surviving hard times and almost being homeless, the singer and songwriter from PE rose to fame with his acclaimed début album Brave Confusion. The homoerotic video for the track In the Dark Room caused a stir in the local music industry but he still took home the Best Alternative Album at the 2014 Samas. Nakhane studied literature at Wits, an experience he put to good use in writing his just-launched first novel, Piggy Boy’s Blues (in stores now). With intense and brooding good looks, we could spend a lifetime getting deep with Nakhane.

11. Nkululeko Tshirumbula – Actor
sexiest_man_pics_2015_Nkululeko
Pretoria-born Nkululeko gave up his studies in Administration Finance for the risky life of an actor. And it paid off, thank goodness for us! He’s now best known for his TV roles in the series Muvhango, playing ladies man Gundo, and currently as Vuyo on Generations – The Legacy. Nkuli has been previously named both the Sowetan’s Sexiest Man and the Feather Awards’ Hunk of the Year. With a body of note, he proudly posed nude for Marie Claire’s Naked Issue. He’s also a DJ on the side and recently finished in third place in the eighth season of Strictly Come Dancing. It seems there’s little this gorgeous man isn’t prepared to take on. We hope to be around to see him do it every step of the way.

Not just relying on his good looks, this Joburger has a Masters degree in Conservation Ecology (with distinction) and plans to start his PhD soon. An entrepreneur, Samir also started his own company, Whispers of the Wild, which has created an app that acts like a digital game ranger. A man of distinct worlds, you’ll find him sipping cocktails in Camps Bay and hobnobbing in Jozi nightspots or tracking leopards through the bush and hanging off the side of a cliff – all with equal ease.

sexiest_man_pics_2015_siya
Our final (and third openly gay) contestant, Siya made waves by participated in both Mr Gay South Africa (coming in second place nogal) and Mr Gay World (representing Zambia). In a country and on a continent sorely lacking LGBT role models that’s nothing to sneeze at. By day, this handsome 28-year-old Durban-born groundbreaker, with part-Zambian heritage, works as a retail buying and planning coordinator. At night, he’s an activist and blogger who’s stepping forward to take on difficult social challenges. With that oh-so-sexy smile and a fascinating brain that’ll turn you on, he’s set to go far.
