Durban and Joburg Orlando massacre vigils announced

Two vigil events honouring the victims of the Orlando massacre will be held in Durban and Johannesburg on Thursday and Saturday.

These community events add to those vigils planned for Bloemfontein, Pretoria and Cape Town.

DURBAN

This event, co-hosted by the Deo Gloria Family Church, is on Thursday, 16 June (Youth Day) at Club Altitude (25 Silver Ave).

Apostle Deborah Bell will be saying the prayer, and candles will be handed out. Let’s show solidarity as a community together, as we gather for approx 30-45 minutes.

Please arrive from 5.30pm for the sake of parking.

Friends and families are welcome – please invite them too for this important event, as we stand united in the wake of this tragedy.

The bar will be closed until its normal opening time. Free coffee and cool drinks will be available.

JOHANNESBURG

This Johannesburg tribute to the victims of the Orlando killings is happening at Trouble Bar (36 Knoppiesdoring Road, Rand Park Ridge) on Saturday at 8pm.

After the shocking news of our brothers and sisters in Orlando, we have decided to come together and show our support and love to all our family.

We will have a wall of remembrance dedicated to our fallen angels, so please bring a candle or flowers or whatever you wish to add to the wall.
