PASS(ings), a play that takes a different look at homosexuality and friendship within the world of sports, is on at the POPArt Theatre in Johannesburg from 14 to 17 September.

VNA Productions brings you this South African offering, written by Vianney Henry Farmer and Quintin Wils.

On the night before Liam’s wedding day, Liam and his estranged childhood friend, Jayden, reminisce about the past; their days as rising rugby stars, tries, girls and glory.

Together they made their first team debut but the game started long before they even walked out onto the field.

Starring the award winning talented duo of Deanre Reiners (Isidingo) and Vianney Henry Farmer (Porselein), it is a fast paced story about friendship, stature, sex and how much you’re willing to lose in order to win.

PASS(ings), which is also directed and designed by the acclaimed Wils, puts friendship under a magnifying glass, in conversation with John Donnelly’s The Pass.

Wils was named one of SA Theatre Magazine’s Top 5 Theatre Makers to look out for in 2016, has directed 15 professional productions, won 4 awards and has been nominated for a further eleven awards, including three Naledi Theatre Awards.
