Discotec, opening on Saturday 28 August, is the newest venture from DJ and party promoter Stuart Hillary (Therapy, Legends) and partner Gaby Levinson. This gay dance club is set to re-invigorate the club scene, promising a superior clubbing experience every Saturday night for the broad spectrum of the LGBT community.
Discotec, the previous Chillers venue, will be the anchor club in the revamped Warehouse club complex in Randbug (which will continue to house ESP). The look is “Las Vegas meets disco chic” and the intention is to provide the “highest quality music, service, and overall experience; an experience to match any of the major global club brands,” boast the promoters.
“Experience the power of the biggest sound system and most cruise-friendly dance floor, with only top quality DJ line-ups that will take you on a journey from well known party anthems through to the latest cutting-edge club sounds,” says Hillary.
Stuart Hillary He adds: “People talk about Therapy, and the past highlights of gay clubbing history, and that there is nothing that compares to it now, but I say, let’s cherish the past and move on. Join me in building a brighter party future with Discotec. We are going LARGE this time. People are going to love it, and I have never been this excited about any of my previous projects.”
The focus of it all is on the huge dance floor, which has superb sound and lighting, as well as a large stage, where Discotec will regularly feature top music acts, as well as contests and speciality shows.
The dance floor has three private booth areas, each appointed with an exclusive hot waitron catering for the discerning VIP who is keen to enjoy a “champagne moment” in style while enjoying an eye-level view of the floorshow.
Two wooden bridges cross over the dance floor, connecting the upstairs members bar with the upstairs lounge and bar.
The large outside courtyard will offer a cocktail bar, food, coffee, and will serve as a great place to socialise and escape from the music and mayhem inside.
Large, modern and updated bathrooms will ensure that Discotec patrons do not have any of the usual frustrating experiences clubbers often have to endure at many a venue. Discotec has also placed a discreet 'dark room' on “the way to the” men’s room.
The venue has its own car park with surplus parking space around the building along with ample security provided by the venue.
Discotec will open on Saturday 28 August.
