Madame Zingara’s Theatre of Dreams, the travelling dinnercirque spectacular, has extended the Cape Town leg of its new 2010 Love Magic Tour until early September.

The beloved Madame Zingara recently returned to South Africa after a year in hiatus and has been thrilling audiences in the Mother City since.

Richard Griffin, MD of Madame Zingara Enterprises, said that the Theatre of Dreams is almost sold out for the month of July.

“The response to our new show has been amazing. Bringing this grand old dame back to Cape Town at times seemed like an impossible dream but our family, friends and fans have welcomed us back with open arms. I would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who supported us on this difficult, but ultimately very rewarding, journey.”

The 2010 Love Magic Tour has been heralded by rave reviews and sold out shows since Victoria, the magnificent eighty year-old Spiegelpaleis which houses the Theatre of Dreams, re-opened her stained glass doors on the 1st of June.

Based at Century City, Madame Zingara brings the fantastical to life with performance artistes such as the Original Tons of Fun, three Mongolian contortionists and her very own Little Queen of Tarts.

Madame Zingara will share her love and magic not only with patrons who visit the Theatre of Dreams, but also with local communities.

“From funds raised through the Love Magic Tour we hope to facilitate the construction of a social, medical, and community centre in Khayelitsha," said Griffin.

Madame Zingara’s Theatre of Dreams is scheduled to remain in the Mother City until 5 September before heading upcountry to inject a bit of love and magic into Gauteng audiences at the beginning of October.
