GARETH THOMAS GOES NUDE
Wed, 30 May 2012
Openly-gay rugby legend Gareth Thomas appears on the cover of Attitude magazine's upcoming ‘naked issue’ in nothing more than his birthday suit.
He was chosen as the cover model to celebrate the 2012 London Olympics.
The stunning image shows the 37-year-old retired Welsh rugby player flaunting his buff tattooed body while covering his privates with his hand.
In the interview, Thomas was asked what he'd change about his body and replied: "The scars and broken bones tell the story of my life."
Thomas came out as gay in December 2009 and was hailed as one of the few openly gay professional sportsmen in the world. He announced his retirement from rugby in late 2011.
Plans are underway to make a movie about Thomas's life, starring American actor Mickey Rourke.
Other British celebrities featured in the naked issue - which helps raise awareness about HIV testing - include singer Rod Thomas, Olympic high jumper Robbie Grabarz and gay actor Andrew Hayden-Smith.
