FIRST PICS: MICHAEL DOUGLAS AS LIBERACE, MATT DAMON AS LOVER

The first pictures of Michael Douglas as Liberace and Matt Damon as his lover Scott Thorson, taken while filming the biopic of the famous pianist, have hit the internet.
The pictures, which were apparently taken on the Los Angeles set of the film, show the two stars sporting very 70s outfits and hairdos.
Douglas and Damon are playing gay lovers in Behind the Candelabra, which is being directed by Steven Soberbergh.
The film tells the story of Liberace's relationship with Thorson, which began in 1976.
Liberace, the highest paid entertainer of his era, lived his life firmly in the closet right up to his death in 1987, despite being outrageously flamboyant on stage. He always insisted that Thorson was just his driver.
In 1982, Thorson filed a $113 million lawsuit against Liberace after their relationship ended. They settled out of court in 1986, with the star giving Thorson $95,000, two cars, and two dogs.
Thorson reconciled with Liberace just before his death and went on to write the tell-all book Behind the Candelabra: My Life With Liberace, on which the film is based.
Earlier this year, Thorson, now in his fifties, claimed that he had an affair with Michael Jackson in the 80s
