MODERN FAMILY STAR TO MARRY BOYFRIEND
Thu, 20 September 2012

Ferguson (36) revealed that he was engaged at the same time as launching his Tie the Knot Foundation, which will raise funds for marriage equality.
"It's true, I popped the big Q," Ferguson says in a video (see below) posted on the foundation's website. His fiancé, Mikita, adds, "I said yes!"
The men have been dating for two years and created the foundation together. Tie the Knot will release a collection of bowties, inspired by the couple's favourite art and fashion and their life.
"Each bowtie will be produced in limited quantity to inspire and promote uniqueness and individuality,” Ferguson says. “All proceeds from the sale of the bowties will go to various organisations that are in the trenches fighting for the civil rights of gay and lesbian Americans every single day.”
The timing of the engagement news is a little awkward. While Ferguson is taking his relationship to the next level, his Modern Family co-star and onscreen romantic partner is having less luck in his personal life.
This week, it was revealed that Eric Stonestreet, who plays Cameron, had broken up with his girlfriend of three years, Broadway star Katherine Tokarz, some months ago.
