Heterosexual black women between the ages of 15 and 33 have the highest rate of infection in South Africa. How come the SANBS doesn’t exclude those ladies?

To quote the article on the SANBS statement, “this was international practice as studies have shown that men who have sex with men have an increased risk of HIV infection”. What dribble!!

Firstly, to say that it is international practice is as illogical a reason as jumping off a cliff because everybody else does. Secondly, men who have sex with men do indeed have an increased risk, but then again so do men who have sex with women. HIV is a sexually transmitted disease. Anybody who is sexually active has an increased risk of acquiring it.

My theory is the HIV thing is a smoke-screan. What century do the SANBS workers live in. Don’t they know that homosexuality is not contageous.
