Well i think that it is totally unacceptable. The government uses propaganda to instill an idea that it is liberal, when in truth they could not give a damn. I would just like to know what is it that the government thinks is wrong about homosexuality, and wont legalize it. They are prejadist moraly wrong in their own right. this country is split socialy, cultureally etc and we are feeling the brunt of that.

Does Zuma not think before he talks? Do we really care what he says, a man that has been charged with rape, theft, etc. Believes safe sex is: – taking a shower afterwards. Anyone in his right mind can’t support or respect such a person. We not going to vote for him in any case! There is more to life than to worry about what one more homophobic says.

I cannot tell, from either his homophobic outburst or his apology, what his real stance is. He is a typical politician paying lip service to his audience.

The first speech was to the cuturally conservative and he was feeding off their homophobic insecurities and gaining support from that.

The apology is a dismal attempt to make amends and regain the gay support.

I don’t really care what his personal oppinion is on the subject. What really worries me is that there is a definite drive to make Jacob Zuma the next president of this country. I don’t feel comfortable knowing that a president is as fickle as he is.
