I might have expected a vitriolic response to Gossip Monger’s column. As many point out, it’s all about subjective opinion. I had the idea that the column was supposed to be almost one-sided and intrinsically offensive to some (as gossipers usually are).

What DID surprise me (and it shouldn’t have), was the degree of postings that were batted between postees – each vying for intellectual superiority linked to their opinions.

Just goes to show, we really are a diverse lot!
And I loved reading every posting! 🙂

… Would love to read some comments about gay clubs not catering for non-smokers, or the Triangle lot in the Cape looking for a new director – preferably affirmative action (yawn!).
Am I overreaching or have I hauled out Pandora’s box again?

Annoyed at the wrong things!. I agree with you Tuti.
Survivor was great and I can’t wait for the second season. ‘My Humps’ definitely deserves the nominations and awards, Britney (I like her no matter what she does) and I got the joke in the TV ads… thought everybody else got it aswell.
I’m not even commenting on Airbrush Nataniel.

Great article but I think perhaps ‘Gossip Monger’ gets annoyed at the ‘wrong things’

Agreed . I agree with you allan1. Stefan is not the best looking guy on that poll, but he defintately has some appeal. Carl on the other hand is dreamy and stunning, i also think that that other guy(the estranged son of louwna) from Egoli should have got alot more votes.

Despite the Britney Spears debate, I personally think that the rests are not that bad.

TV/Radio adds – The gay community complained that the media was too scared to face facts and did not include gays in commercials. Now that they do give us and the rest of SA coverage, you complain again.

Black Eyed Peas – Thank God for personal taste. I played/wrote a lot of music in my life (altought still very you). You might not like the lyrics, but the musical thought behind it was brilliant!

Stop being a screaming queen and get with the rest of the world. Gay people are not that much different from our straight counterparts.
