I think all he says is true…It’s just a bit disappointing that it took more than two decades fro him to realize this. I’m a 20 something and I find it hard and frustating that all that matters in my community is the looks, labels, and the glamour that does not listen to you when you need a shoulder to lean and cry on. The focus is all on the exterior and nobody wants to invest in pure, truthful and meaningful relationships. I think part of the challenge is the fact that we do not talk about these issues as the gay community and until we do, we will harness the pain that comes with all the futile glamour.
