Winter Collection. I personally like what was shown; this being said I understand that we need to push the barriers a little further, break them for lack of a better. Think that we are still playing it safe to a certain extend; but I also think that we have grown in leaps and bounds, in comparison to what it used to be. No lines, no silhouettes, dreary.

Fashion to me is an embodiment of the Zeitgeist, the physiognomy (spiritual architecture) of a country, nation, gender, etc. I see in these pictures a portrayal of sloth, indifference, a-sexuality, attempts to try to shock, depression, morbidity, and femininity (only men model, but in most cases it would have looked better on women). Lovely clothes, nice designs, wild ideas, but are they a correct portrayal of the South African Zeitgeist, masculinity, the male soul?
