These so called developers have already destroyed pristine shorelines, so where are they going to stop?
Oh no, sorry – they don’t. The developers just want to make a fast buck and then fuck off and retire to some place in Europe and leave the mess for us to clean up!

I totaly agree with G501. I think for every gay men who visits Cape Town, the best part about it is the Waterkant Village. The beauty of those colourful old buildings and the structure. The warmth of the closeby restaurants and it owners. Once the developers are done with their so-called “morden top-notch developments”, the beauty of the gay life of Cape Tow would have vanished. The reason why Paris is still as beautiful and romantic as it is, it because they left all they old buildings as they where and looked into new areas for developments.

Let preserve the little history that we have. The Waterkant is a beautiful village and it should be left as it is.
