RIP great man. i was one of the first people terrified going to the HIV centre to Dr Sher in 80s when they were still were i n old medical centre – dental hospital at wits, behind old JHBG hospital, when some gaza – later togs- members were already diagnosed.It took about 4 anxious weeks for a result!! thank heavens 25 yrs later i am still free.
