About time. It’s about time the American Christians open their eyes to the crap Harry Potter is spreading across the world! I find it amusing that a conservative group has more issues with a character in the series being gay and allegedly encouraging homosexuality than with the fact the entire series of Harry Potter books are filled with satanic and occultist references. Nevermind homosexuality, these books open way more doors for satan to get a stronghold on you than most people are willing to admit! In the meantime, Lucifer’s is laughing himself into a stupor…

In reply to CP. Where???. Um. I've read all seven books and I've seen no reference anywhere to Satan. Please could you provide some page references so as to enlighten the rest of us as to how you came to that conclusion. After all, you claim we're blind, show us.

Why?. Why did JK Rowling have to go an do that. I had never thought of Dumbledor as someone with a sexual side. If anything, his intelligence and wisdom gave the impression that he’d surpassed the animalistic urges of relationships altogether and had become a true altruist.

Hmm. Nowhere in the films (I haven't read the books) is there any given indication that Dumbledore is gay. It is never mentioned in any way or form. It just so happens to be yet another part of him. No matter how wise or knowledgable a character might be, that does not overshadow their sexual preference. No matter how old Dumbledore seems to be, he was also young once and we can use our imaginations as to how he might've had crushes or objects of affection during his youth.

I find it funny that these Christian nutcases will go out of their way to avoid this series all because Rowling mentioned that one of her characters is gay. It's not in any way obvious in the books or films. How on earth does it affect a child or "propagate" homosexuality at all?

And how dare a Christian bigot be so arrogant as to assume that she knows what's good for the nation's children. Images of hell, torture and eternal fire are better?
