I really look forward to your motoring comments, Christo, but must disagree with you regarding the desirability of the nissan. Although looks are a subjective matter (don’t we know it) this has got to be a backslide of note for nissan who have hitherto been making great progress coming out of the shadows of their previous anonynimity and gawky offerings – ai maar daai neus is baie lelik…and looks like an ill disguised almera in drag (butch drag that is…). Another ball substantially dropped in the dribble towards the goal of distinctive stylish urban transport. Te jammer.

Qashqai. Thank you for your positive comments, I appreciate it! I agree to an extent that the Qashqai is not the prettiest Nissan ever made, but if you look at how many of them are moving off salesroom floors, the “genera public” seems to like it… a lot! But as you rightly pointed out, cars will always fall under the ‘different strokes for different folks’ category!
PS: If you think the Qashqai’s nose is lelik, have you seen pics of the forthcoming Murano?
