I was interested to read your review on the new Yum. I visisted YUM is Greenside on three seperate occassions over an extended period based on the hype that it received in the press and elsewhere. For me the experience was always consistent. Consistently bad. I never understood why it was rated so highly and the trip to the cloak rooms past or through and increasingly dirty kitchen was a truely unpleasant experience. So I am not suprised that your reviewer had the olfactory experience that he describes. I will certainly not be subjecting myself to that expensive unsatisfactory experience again. On the other hand I avoided going to Cite restuarant in Dunkeld for months because of bad reviews ( although I was a great fan of Singing Fig and Circle in their early days)and when I eventually went was most pleasantly suprised at its excellence. In my view probably the last decent restuarant in Johannesburg.
