This letter is moving. I really like the reconcilatory tone. I hope that the leaders of Uganda and can open their hearts to it, and not look on it with the disdain we have grown to expect from them.

In reply to shane wilson. African Leaders. Regretfully , our African Leaders lead my self enrichment and dictatorship. This is a fight that we as gay peeps will have to endure. I''m moved by the courage of this young man. I can only hope that things will get better in Africa. We ( SA) are blessed that we are recognised.

it is disturbing.. It really hurts to be denounced as a Ugandan because of your sextuality, i am a ugandan who happens to be gay and i had to leave the country 12 years ago because i couldn`t leave without being comfortable in my skin as a gay person.
And i haven`t encountered any problem for the years i have leaved in England and South Africa.
MY heart goes out to every gay person in Uganda.
