I am not of the opinion that any gay club is racist. I just stated it because i have seen it being used so many many times, and yes, unfortunately mostly by black lads. We, in this country LOVE to play the race card whenever it suits us. Every year after Pride some angry black queen will look at the pics and proclaim it as racist and too white, although it was never anything of the sort. If he actually got off his bum and went there, he’d see how wrong he is.

It is sad that we still seperate and have a go at each other within our own ranks, if we get it so bad from straightville. It is also sad that the clubs always have to be in some obsecure place where you DO feel a bit jumpy and unsafe. And that is not our fault, we live in a dangerous country. But it is a fact. I’d rather go to a mediocre club in a safe area than to a great club in a dodgy place where I have to worry about my car and have to look over my shoulder when I walk to it.

Perhaps I’ll gather some friends and come have a look at some time

Pete – I felt the need to let you know that if the club was racist there wouldn’t be any white face at all…This is a new club that is located in the south of Johannesburg in Boysens to be specific. It goes by the name of Lemonite (I think). It is open to all and is for all. I think it’s what is associated with the location (the south…close to JHB cbd)which essentially brings into question safety. That is the only factor that has compramized the success of this fabulous venue. I assure that security and safety is the club managers first priority and I haven’t heard anything negative yet. I challenge you to investigate further. Have a look at their profile on facebook, search “V2” and subscribe to their newsfeed…You won’t regret it.

That said, looks like a nice venue, and the guys are hot too. I hope I live to see the day when we ALL could go party together, without some asshole making a stink about the colour of the people there.
