I made the right choice!. After reading the shocking stats in the article, I am relieved to have made the choice to become celibate on the 10th May last year. I did it because I used to get paranoid about becoming infected with STI’s, especially HIV, after I had sex with various men. I never thought my commitment to celibacy would last long, but it is almost a year now. Although I don’t advocate celibacy for others (who am I to preach to others that they should abstain from sex?!), I have found that it works for me, until I meet a man I can love and commit to. Its so sad to think our young brothers are not being safe enough. I’ve seen enough of my friends infected and a few of them have passed on. How sad to think HIV is still on the increase!
