Question.... Does this campaign not distort the original purpose of holding hands? To express some sort of affection and possibly love for the person you're holding hands with. This is primarily why I would imagine most heterosexual couples or any couples prior or unknowing of this campaign would hold hands. It is a social norm and if the LGB community wants to be part of the social norm (no or little over homophobia) why not just participate naturally and let things takes its course from there. Holding hands for non-affecnate media induced reasons is just trying to "rub things in" society's face and going beyond being part of a norm and demanding being special and tainting non-harmful traditional reasoning and/or romance.

I agree. If we don't make such a massive thing about it, and just do what comes naturally in our relationships, it will have a more positive and normalizing effect.
