He showed interest in weight lifting in high school and far more in his first years of college. He was accepted by and attended, Grove City College, a prominent Christian school located near Pittsburgh, Pa.

Building an exceptional physique, for tuition, he started male modeling and was finally approached by an agent for gay porn, and accepted the offer due to the increase in cash. Obviously, all of this was kept secret and was highly confidential.

He was eventually signed by Randy Blue, Inc. a prominent gay porn site and production company. He functioned as a “power bottom” in several scenes and a few features for the company. His credits can still be viewed by the public, on that site. He was soon after, encouraged by experienced Co-stars, to begin private modeling and male escorting, a side line he continued, by available source material, until at least 2015. He worked up and down the east coast under several names, including Gio Franco.

Sometime just before May of 2009, the “bottom” fell out of everything. He was identified on the Randy Blue pay porn site, by a fellow Grove City Student, reported to the college and finally suspended from the institution, on immoral behavior grounds. Several other published reports support this. He was forced to tell his family and spent some six years, escorting, trying full-time acting, odd-jobs, working for other agencies such as “model mayhem” and making independent gay porn appearances and working the east coast circuit of gay clubs, making public appearances and stripping. He lived and escorted for a time just outside of New York City. By all published accounts, this experience was a personal disaster and tremendous setback.

By 2010, or so, he had steered his life back on track. He finally completed his BA. elsewhere, after several years time, negotiating through attorneys, with Grove City College. Around this time, he legally changed his name to John Paul Ryan.

By 2012, he had been accepted at the College of The Sciences in West Philadelphia, in there DPT program for Physical Therapy. He finished that degree, graduated, and became a licensed physical therapist both in 2015. Near the time of his commencement, he “retired” from the “Gay for Pay” industry entirely. He practices Physical Therapy in and around Philadelphia, as John Ryan, DPT.

He lives with his business partner, a woman, in LaFayette Hill, Pa. He is also Co-owner of J&J Studios, LLC., a prominent local wedding photographer.
