Or should I say what is the point of the government in Uganda. Having gay soccer players is the least of their worries. They are they using homosexuality as a clever ploy to get attention away from the real issues: crime, corruption in government, civil war, political power, murder, genocide, child soldiers, rape, HIV/AIDS, poverty, starvation, destruction or abuse of natural resources, and just all round stupidity. Their leaders have pillaged the country to virtually nothing and now they need an excuse, a reason to explain why there is nothing left, to their citizens. So now they are targeting gay and lesbian people and using them as scapegoats. Truly sickening to witness such ignorance, such neanderthal thinking in the 21st century. Africa will always remain in the dark ages.
