Yes, I agree, there are many homosexuals in the catholic church, and a minority of them may be paedophiles, but let’s not generalise and say that all homosexual priests are paedophiles. It is just not true. Most of the homosexual priests are as celibate as their hetero colleagues. Just because a few homosexual priests sexually abuse kids, that does not justify preventing all homosexuals from entering the priesthood. There are straight priests who have abused kids in the past – why doesn’t the Vatican prevent straight people from becoming priests? The Church finds itself between a rock and a hard place and is trying to find any scapegoat to explain its own sins. Sad, very sad!

On a personal level religion is a wonderful, fulfilling thing. On an institutional level it is an evil, vile cancer that capitalizes on ignorance to further it;s own agenda.
Did a quick search and found the following stats from the US iro gender of victims:
Rate of sexual abuse by gender:
1.7 victims per 1,000 female children
0.4 victims per 1,000 male children
Since the incidence of female child abuse stats is 4 times greater than that of male child abuse victims a link cannot be drawn.
Knowledge is power, and until knowledge such as this is spread, the lies and misinformation vomited out by the Vatican will take hold. It is a sad day whenever any individual is misled, it is even sadder when those misleading them are the ones they trust to show them the right way!
