Gay Cars LOL. For F*** sake this is just a movie and he is not insulting anyone. He can also say electric cars is like Gay (happy cars) . He was talking about a car not a person. I’m gay myself and for what ever reason U guys this is upsetting I do not understand. Leave the Movie as is. Sometimes its good to leave things as they are and Just have fun with it.

Good move. I support this move! I also would not personally be offended by the comment, but I am of sufficient maturity and have sufficient agency to take the comment in context and not be offended by it.

However, there are many who continue to use the word ‘gay’ as an insult, particularly in high schools. This has the effect of ridiculing gay and lesbian teens, leading to suicide and depression. The movie says to bullies and homophobes that it is quite simply OK to ridicule gay and lesbians – it is time that this stops!

I agree with…. Tom on this one. Saying electric cars are gay defines them (and I know it’s only a car) as weak and inferior. It then doesn’t take much for any young people watching then to equate the same term with something they see as weak and inferior i.e. gay teens or even someone who is different but not necessarily gay. It becomes a derogatory term used to bully and torment. Why couldn’t the writers of the movie write something else? Why use the word at all?

It’s just comedy. I think we should be able to take humour about our community and not be so stuck up about jokes and humour about being gay! I found it quite funny and true actually!

Not Suprising. Yet again, the gay community make's a big deal about nothing. Its a movie for F*** sake. Are we going to take everything personal that is said in a movie. Trust me, then you will have a lot to complain about and I lot of movies to ruin for other less sensitive gay's in the world

abuse.... It is not "just a movie" as bad as the movie is.
Hollywood is one of themost homophobic "institutions" where actors have to live in the closet because of such sterotyping.
It is confirming and condoning prejudice .
Coming from such an institution it is laughing at our expense , not with us .
