!. Very interesting article. And I am going to try not to get upset, but dude. But check your facts! Sorry your not gay, but don’t hate on us because you think we make it look easy. It is not easy at all. And yes, it is a daily struggle, and its not the most fun thing to freak your friends and family out the day I told them. It was one of the worst experiences of my life, and I would never wish that upon any one.
But we all have our struggles, don’t think the grass is greener on the other side.

Great Article. I really enjoyed this diatribe, are you sure you’re not just a deeply closeted gay? Actually it’s really cool that you’re straight, so I’d prefer the “no really dude, straight as a main road through the Klein Karoo” answer. I just beg to differ on one thing; the whole pride business is a pain in the posterior, and not for the reasons you might imagine. No, it was hot, very commercial (certainly not free) and boring in the extreme (there were not even a quorum of colourful characters present). I don’t usually go, but I just felt that so many gay guys still hide the fact -even to themselves – and make derogatory gay jokes and deride each other, that many end up living a false “straight” life for far too long and end up wasting the best years of their life (ask me, married to the age of 40 and have had the best 5 years of my life since then). This persuaded me to go this year, but never again… unless they arrange a tea party on the lawns in front of the parliament building next year with something more interesting going on than the “kermis by Zoolake” that was this year’s Pride (shouldn’t that title have GLTB or something in there somewhere?), and plenty of shade, umbrellas, etc. for the sun-sensitive to lounge under & yes, deck chairs too. Advertise the prices upfront, why hide the fact that you want to screw us? We might want to return the compliment!!
