Please Stand Up?. I know that it’s much easier seeing the bad in people than the good. Let me just tell you this; most of the popular female artists aren’t saying anything to defend gay folks. I’ve never heard Beyonc? defend gay marriage or any type of gay equality.

That is not to say that all these other divas are homophobic. It just goes to show that supporting gay rights can have a negative effect on an artists career. Most of the world is super homophobic. So I think it’s brave of Gaga to stand for gay rights. She is even more vocal than Madonna.

I’m very disappointed with Beyonc? in particular. She has a massive gay fan base, that spends millions on her products. Yet she is not brave enough to raise her voice and speak against the evil that is homophobia. If she can speak against racism, surely she can speak against gay hate.

Firstly, I don’t think she is using the gay angle. And secondly, even if her heart isn’t in it, she does publicly support gay rights and is trying to make a change. She helps give more exposure to gay rights and more acceptance to minorities.

gagalicious. let me get this right – so now she is using us gays? WTF – Gaga is the first lady of fag hags and has done more, said more for us gays (er sorry i forget…) us LGBTI’s than any other straight artists since Madonna.
She is flying our flag high and she has done so from the very beginning when the world wasn’t GAGA over her.
What is wrong with us that now we are pointing accusing fingers at one of our greatest allies and frineds!

I agree totally with her. What a rediculous statement. No celebrity has ever been so vocal about gay rights. She even pulled out of advertising deals (which could also have gotten her more money) because of the company’s homophobic attitude. And that was LONG before “Born this Way”. I think her intentions are genuine and real. And so what if she is selling millions of CD’s. Mama Monster is the best.
