No Thanks. Great idea, but the name is the first reason why I won't even deal with these people. I might be out and unashamed of my sexuality but does that mean I now have to have the word homo, gay and queer attached to every product that might be tailored toward me? It's unnecessarily in your face I believe. Besides, imagine completing the finance application at your local German car dealership and they ask who you are insured with. Be sure to expect a snigger, and if not, I wouldn't even want to be put in a position to find out, thank you. Same applies, heaven forbid (but quite likely), if you need to open a case of theft at the local cop shop. I think you get the picture. Names can be limiting to the point of exclusion which is really not good for business - unless the object of the exercise is to attract such an exclusive market, it only attracts a handful of screaming queens.

Dear Discreet
Thank you for your comments following the recent article on Mamba Online.
I'm proud to say that all your concerns have been taken into consideration when GAYSURE was launched.
All our assist stickers and letter heads only have the GS logo on it and therefore no one will be put in an awkward position. It is also important to understand that GS is only an insurance broker and our insurers used is New National, Chartis, 1 Com and Santam. The client then has the option to use any of the following names: Gaysure, GS, New National, Chartis, 1 Com or Santam.
We are proud to say that the support from the LGBTI community has been overwhelming and we have also been flooded with calls from the straight community showing us support with the initiative.
Being a Gay owned company focusing specifically on the LGBTI community it also gives us the opportunity to support the gay organizations and sponsor Mr Gay SA ,thus promoting gay rights as this should be every gay persons objective.
