What a J@ck@ss! Isn’t the newspaper a secular one if it isn’t Christian? What about his Muslim, Hindu or Budhist readers? Does it disqualify them being promoted as well since their beliefs, according to ‘Christians’ are against ‘God’s Holy Word’. Such discrimination!

Way to go Christina! Thank you for your response to the paper. I consider myself a gay Christian (yes, it IS possible if you actually study the faith) and find the editor’s reasoning offensive toward my faith, not only unconstitutional and darn right prejudiced. What offends me also is that this representative of the newspaper concerned is quick to spout religious views as they see it yet doesn’t have the integrity or sheer courage to put his name to his words. This is not only another slight against Christianity which calls for integrity but puts the publication/publisher in a poor light as it would seem by their incorrect logic they are manipulating Christianity to further their own biased, self serving opinion. I certainly would not support such a publication and would suggest those who value integrity to do the same.

I wish someone would report them to the Consumer Commission… They are discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation with regards to a service they are providing (advertising). They could be fined 10% of their annual revenue, or R1m (whichever is more).
