Law enforcement and investigation of hate crimes are not the LGBTI community’s responsibility nor are private citizens allowed to interfere with law enforcement – it is the legal responsibility of the authorities and institutions which exist in those spheres to act. It is our responsibility as citizens to insist that they do so, which we are doing.
