I cannot wait to live in a "post-homophobic" society and "post-gay" as well for that matter.

The supreme irony of coming out of the proverbial closet is that one is almost immediately transferred to another closet with its own stuffy social order.

Has anyone really bothered to ascertain the degree of biphobia in the gay community? To say that it is rife is un understatement.

I notice also that some progressive heterosexuals accept gay people but somehow cringe at the thought of bisexuality.

Can we escape this dichotomy-obsessed society already?

This article is quite interesting….society is still full of prejudices and takes a long time to change and accept. But I hope society will learn and people stop regarding being gay as a disease or mental disorder etc…but just simply as something different like somebody’s different job or interest.

I do not ask for much, I just wish I could be free and hold my boyfriend in public…like you see many “straight” couples do wherever they go without anybody frowning or questioning this.

Thank you, finally an article that recognized bi sexuality … can’t tell you how many gay guys judge me for being bisexual and claiming it just can’t be possible. In my opinion that is the same narrow minded point that all gay people accused straight people of having.

Really awesome article, just what I needed to help with the conflicting definitions of myself in my head. Bisexuality is bigger than homosexuality and I know a lot more bisexuals than I do gays. I completely agree that being ‘gay’ is a defense mechanism in many cases for men who are actually bisexual. Otherwise they repress their homosexual tendencies. And there are a lot of men like that out there.
