the Volksblad that started this story now refuses to place a follow up after it was on ETV. The centre was instructed to change its constitution within 30 days. The PASTOR must have tjommies in die Volksblad all of a sudden.

they never actually claimed to ‘cure’ homo sexuals.they are catering for those who want to change, and that is their human right. We cannot infringe on someones human right to want to change.

Creare does claim to cure it through the methodology they employ. It is exactly the same as a doctor – he does not cure the patient, merely the medical science employed together with the medication prescribed does… Furthermore, claiming that God can change homosexuals implies that there is something wrong with them to begin with – there is nothing wrong with being gay. If Cornelius is so intent on promoting that which is contained in the Bible, he needs to start a crusade against every seafood restaurant in the country, prohibit clothing made with mixed fabrics, stone every woman who is not a virgin on their wedding night – the list is endless. I know Cornelius personally and have attended the Creare Arts Academy many years ago and he HATES homosexuals. The irony is, that place has produced an abundance of gay men, many of whom I still encounter throughout the years. The staff at Creare also isolate you and ignore you once you leave (the then “Winter School”) the training etc etc. Now that isn’t very Christian like is it? They obviously have to say the right things to ensure that they blade line the law and do not get sued. Cornelius is an obsessive fundamentalist who’s ideals will never evolve in our society.

Creare does not claim that they can cure homosexuality. they do not believe that they can change anyone, but they do however believe that God can, if the person is willing to change.
The media has taken this completely out of context.
I stand by that which Ps Cornelis and his leadership stand for as every human has the choice to change according to God’s Word and will.

Now this takes some rather large leaps of Logic. Run an Arts college and refuse entry to Gay people, unless they agree to be “cured”. Is this man insane? Is his mind in some other reality? Is he even aware that his actions fly in the face of our constitution?
