What a crock of 'you know what' but 10/10 for trying GALZ. Firstly, Zimbabwe left begging left right and center for basic food stuffs - let alone funds to run the forthcoming election, is by no means independence, nor are all its citizens free otherwise there would be no need for this letter. However, I do see GALZ' need to do some proactive patronizing in order to hopefully garner an audience from the president, as well as being proactive in as much as saying "we're watching you", which in effect is all this letter is about. Sadly, given Mugabe's well documented homophobia, I don't hold too much hope for the letter having much effect, if any. Given also that GALZ were quite accepting of the draft constitution which gave no protection to homosexuals, I think they have put themselves at a disadvantage. Then again what little hope have they had?

Good luck to all Gay and Lesbian people of Zimbawe. GALZ; your letter is indicative of your continual struggle for your fundamental human rights. I don't think for one minute that your State President will ever relent given his homophobic rants. But remember you have people down south that support you and your efforts. One day you will win.
