If you enjoy his music, be there. All gays are welcome to his shows and your company is enjoyed by the artist and by fellow fans – have a sense of humor. 🙂 I’m a woman…he said shit about women, gays, fat people, skinny people, poor people, rich people, pretty much if you’re a person on this planet you can find a line in his music to get all offended about…but people nitpick on the most sensitive topics…the author of this article is probably miserable…how can you be happy when you start crying about a line in a song that wasn’t even directed at you…the line in Rap God was not written in a homophobic context and the author of this article is taking it too literally…(dear Author since you’d prefer to get all literal on us…can you explain why it’s offensive to look gay? Are you homophobic? What’s wrong with a gay-looking boy??)

He has lyrics about beating women…and I grew up with an abusive father who’d beat me and my mom and siblings regularly…if it wasn’t for Eminem I would be dead right now. He got me through my teen years with his free tongue…the ability to express all the things people try to keep suppressed is a form of therapy. I get the humor. I get that it’s a form of expressing darkness within you and turning it into something you can laugh at…it doesn’t mean he condones beating women and it sure as shit doesn’t mean I condone beating women…I never want to experience life with an abusive man again in my life and I wouldn’t want anyone else to either. The music doesn’t incite violence…if you were so easily swayed into beating a woman or a gay person just by listening to music, you were a sick fuck to begin with. Don’t use music and performances as an excuse for being a pathetic human being.

Regardless of whether you choose to support him or not, Eminem fans and Eminem himself will never go away. 🙂 There’s always going to be so much support for him that nobody will even care if you don’t show up or don’t buy his album. If you do show up, you get a great show and you can feel great about yourself and your sexual orientation without needing Eminem to tell you that you’re awesome for being gay. Just shut the hell up and have a good time! 🙂

There’s worse shit in the world to be pissed about…like um…how about calling out the real homophobes…want to do anything about the leaders of Uganda who are killing people for being gay?
