African governments, like the one in Uganda, must start concentrating more on providing basic services for their people instead of persecuting the LGBTI community. All failed governments divert the attention of the hungry and jobless by running with the LGBTI issue.
If these governments concentrated as much energy on improving the lives of their people, Africa would have been a haven. The world is going forward but some countries in Africa are taking us back to the dark ages. I know the overfed elite running the government in Uganda probably do not care, but I shall never set my foot in a place that treats a section of its population with such disdain. You would think that people who have once been persecuted for being black would know not to discriminate others for something that they can not change. Shame on those who support such backward thinking wherever they are. Stable, emotionally independent people know to respect the rights of others. People with low self esteem rejoice in persecuting others.
