My condolences to David’s family & friends,sounds like he was a kind and gentle soul. This sort of offence can not be tolerated and must be dealt with severely. If South Africa is to live up to its full potential then all citizens must be not only equal but respected by the law. This must end.

This is Utterly sad and unacceptable! We as people of the western cape should stand against such abuse. I am a heterosexual female and I have a gay brother and this has just made me sick to my stomach! I agree with Herman Lategan as its appualling to know. That such hatred for homosexuals still exists amoungst us!

I am so disturbed by this horrific story, honestly it saddens my heart deeply. We have absolutely no right to take someone’s life irrespective of their sexuality or sexually preference. what happened to Ubuntu?! and portraying the love of Christ.

Reading this prompted me into action to respond to an online article for the first time. I am sure that this death will not be in vain. Let’s hope it will raise enough condemnation to reach a wider audience. Lets see what the different political parties make of this in this election time. Will our government speak out against this and the growing homophobic actions on our continent?
