Sex, and its various accouterments of sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, libido, and even how many partners one may have, contains a multitude of variances and complexities. The roots of homosexuality are still a mystery - although only a little more a mystery than the origins of heterosexuality! Like almost everything, it is likely to involve both genetic-physiological roots and cultural-learning roots. I look forward to a time when society is more fluid and sexual preference roots are dissolved from social learning centers hence changing the responses, as so eloquently stated by Mr. Thatchel, however history has consistently shown that man is fickle and anything that is out of the norm is out of acceptance. This utopia he speaks of can be nothing more than a optimistic pipe dream. We must and will always need to fight and preserve our right to equal treatment.
