It made me feel unwelcome to just see the photo. As a result I will avoid attending in the future. I also saw a poster that says “black! Black! Black!” For me, I believe pride should not include racial connotations as it is an event for all meant to bring people closer.

I somewhat agree on this statement. I may be mistaken, but if this was pride in the traditional sense then the focus should have been LGBTQ related. Nonetheless – important that it was a success. As unfortunate as it may seem – the more graphic the visual – the greater the impact on the audience… Maybe we need more performances to become commercial/ available to the general public. It’s starting to feel like preaching to the choir…
