This article is reporting incorrect information. Maimane did not say what they are reporting in regards to LGBTI community. People must report or quote people. He did not even mention anything about his church.

Agreed, my vote goes to Wilmot James. We can’t afford to have people in positions of power who are “wishy washy” on core constitutional rights such as this.

I will vote for Wilmot James. I’ve debated this on some DA pages, that I don’t think Mmusi Maimane is ready for party leader. I find him a bit too young, he still needs a lot to learn, and needs more experience over the various generations, sexualities, races, cultures and general diversity in the country. His view on LGBTI rights is also adding to my dis-concern.

My vote will go to Wilmot James for DA front-man position. This Maimane character is a joke. And what is this Liberty Church in which he is an elder – that I’ve never heard of? Pwah! My rights as a human being is enshrined in our wonderful constitution. Why is being gay such a problem? At the end of the day – all they are after is our money and votes… The LGBT community should stand up – stand together – establish our own political party! Non-LGBT people are making decisions about us / for us that will affect the rest of our lives… This is pitiful!
