The marvel universe is extremely diverese with parallel universes etc. Miles Morales is a superhero of african american/hispanic heritage and he exists in the marvel “ultimate” universe representing the “ultimate” version of spiderman. He took up the mantle of spiderman after the peter parker of his world was murdered in a fight as spiderman.

Marvel vs race and sexuality:

Ms. Marvel is now an American/Pakistani girl from new jersey
Captain America is Sam Wilson (the falcon)
Ice-man (from the past now in the future, current day) is now gay

Various other characters all exhibit other forms of sexuality from the fluid spectrum of gender identification. Stan Lee by all accounts is right fundamentally why change what is set in motion lets create new more interesting heroes. Artistic license should allow directors and casting directors to go new ways, Jhonny Storm in the new fantastic 4 movie is black. That in its self is a different universe (Marvel Cinematic Universe-Earth 99999). Its also tricky here as not all the MCU’s share the same universe due to publications and rights to names.
