I really, really am still in wonder of this great gift you gave me, a seriously ageing plodding recorder of my own thought processes.

I was just about to write a piece exhorting courage on the least compromised and timid members of the ANC leadership to take a stand and snatch the country from the brink of a Syria-like bloodbath that a visionary and courageous Nelson Mandela managed to do in 1994 and that his timid and morally dubious wood-be leaders who followed him have brought it back to.

You are a real inspiration. My humble thanks
