The gay community itself has a lot internalised racism and homophobia. The glorification of ‘straight-acting’ men and let’s not forget the ‘no blacks, no asians, no fems, etc’ you find everywhere.
The only time most gay people even acknowledge black gay men and feminine gays is usually when something is needed. I find this to be sad and heartbreaking. I wish there could be a way for the LGBT to come together and not have double standards.
