I feel like I have missed something here...while I am sure Mr Peyper is a nice young man, since when are straight 18-year olds the go-to people for advice on how young gay people should deal with being bullied? I am all for those with a platform offering positive re-enforcement when it comes to larger society hearing them accept homosexuality, but I think it was a little unfair of the interviewer to place him in a position of having to offer advice, which while appreciatively sympathetic, is ultimately invalid. Being bullied because people think you are gay is quite different from being bullied because you are gay. I wish the young man success and I am sure that he appreciates his new exposure to the LGBT community, but I suggest that we let him stick to what he knows... and Mamba would do well to do the same.
