I had a wonderful chat online with one of the people previously very involved in Mr. Gay World just after the event in Knysna and I kept an eye on it but exactly the same reasons as the author remained slightly reticent about it because I too had problems with the pageant idea in the original sense. The internal discrimination whithin our community and so did a very lazy reposting of the event details. I wish I wasn't so disinterested then I would have looked a bit better and listened closer. Only after speaking to my friend online did I realize what a phenomenal change to the idea of a pageant is taking place here and I feel true Pride in the fact that it comes from our quatres. It is wonderful to see the queers lighting the way forward again. Well done to the organisers and participants
