KZN LGBT RECREATION is 100% behind Michael and wishing him a speedy recovery. Wish the culprits can be brought to books before they victimise other innocent souls like Michael . No to hate crimes! No to violence of any form!

Same Love Toti supports Michael 100%. We are appalled that this hate crime happened right here in Amanzimtoti! For years we have been working with the Toti community, giving sensitisation in schools and creating safe spaces for LGBTI, and while many people in Toti are inclusive and supportive, we still have too many homophobic haters. We have been liaising with Michael and will continue to assist him in any way possible. If anyone in the Amanzimtoti/Durban area are facing these same circumstances, please call us or email us. We are able to offer resources and support in combating this hatred, bigotry and violence. And to anyone who would like to have our sensitisation courses in their workplace/church/social group/school please don’t hesitate to make use of our services. We all need to work together to put a stop to this homophobia & transphobia!
