Other people are self centered and cruel I feel like it’s a matter of trying not be crushed by other people’s behavior be content and trust that one day you will find your life partner. I’m not gay but Im in this situation in my life.

Thanks for such an open and honest letter. It is such a shame, but I think it is becoming common in our society to do things only for ‘now’and change your mind later. I do hope we can change this trend. Strength!

Your comment about the ship being reminiscent of a retirement home reduces my sympathy for you to zero. Don’t dis any group; if they make you uncomfortable (reminding you of your own mortality) or if you are just not “into” them, rather keep quiet than be disrespectful.
Trying to have conversations with anonymous strangers on the net is shallow and, if you think it might simulate the real world, naive and plain dumb. Using these sites for human contact would no doubt be more fulfilling.
Take a long hard look in the mirror, you might clarify the nature of the problem there; I hope it will lead you to a solution.
